SG Young Investment
This week has been an extremely tough week for me as well as my children. On new year’s eve, I received information that my cousin could have got into a major accident. Moments later, his passing away was verified that was a devastating information for me personally. He was only 27 years of age and celebrated his birthday a few days before the event happened just. This cousin was to be close, very in fact close.
2 days before his passing on, we still communicated on the phone and I said that whenever he comes back from his abroad trip, we can arrange a period to meet. But, he didn’t manage to come back. The whole of this week was very tough. We tried to help you for his wake whenever you can. It was a psychological 3 times as his friends arrived one after another. Hundreds of them came from all over Singapore.
Some gave their eulogy and I could sense my cousin made an impact in his short 27 many years of his life. It is painful to lose someone dear to you in life. We were raised in the same neighborhood for the past 20 over years jointly. I would go over to his house and he to my house even as we stayed quite nearby.
A great deal of things I do now still reminds me of him. Even going to the gym today reminds me of him because we went to gym together before and he’d always encourage me to do more units and tell me how the exercises should be achieved. Evening chats at one of the benches at the sports activities complex We also had past due.
Its hard to ignore someone close and really now I understand what this means to reduce someone. My cousin was special. He was interested in finance and investments as well. We often talked about life, about investments and the dreams he previously to have his own business. Knowing I needed a financial blog, he got me involved in the investment membership he was in at NTU.
- More robust spatial planning by central and local federal government
- IDBI Mutual Fund
- Grievance redressal
- 4 Investment strategies 4.1 Value investment
I went to a few occasions organized by NTU interactive investment membership back in 2015 such as FINEX which is a financial amazing competition-style event, Singapore Financial conference and the National Cashflow competition lastly. Some of you may have gone to these events as I published it on my blog too. The national cashflow competition used the financial board game cashflow 101 for many years however, many of the concepts were not that applicable in the Singapore context.
One of his NTU professors whom he respected a lot arrived for the wake. The teacher said he was a special student, standing up out among the class often. When the professor said we should have a Singapore version financial game maybe, my cousin was quick to take up the duty and created a complete new financial board game for use for the competition.
To this day, I’m impressed with the ideas he arrived, the game movement and the many late nights he spent just to complete the board game with time for your competition. The financial game was called Asset Finesse which means having the skills and capability to manage our assets easily. I was informed by the teacher that the game is still used in the national cashflow competition till this day. He has remained a legacy behind indeed. As you can see, the board game was played by hundreds of students across Singapore all, every year 500 to be exact.
