The Hodrick-Prescott (H-P) filter is trusted for trend removal in financial time-series, and as a basis for business cycle evaluation, etc. I’ve submitted about the H-P filter before (e.g., here). One of the fantastic features of Galley Bay is that it is all including food and especially drink so do people misbehave and be overly intoxicated? I admit I saw a bit of it but nothing to my mind annoying or aggressive. Yes, some individuals got a bit drunk and had a need to stop or go to their room and mainly that is exactly what they did.

Also the club shuts around midnight and honestly, what with heat, most people are exhausted by the sun to produce a fuss too. Mostly it was some individuals having too good a period that was either entertaining or a cue for all of us to change tables. The Tepee club was also the place to go for ‘take away’ drinks. Like most all-inclusives the resort does not provide large quantities of alcoholic drinks in the area as they would probably go broke if they do.

Instead you can go to the bar and encourage them to pour a dink in the green flasks they give you on arrival. These are quite large but I have known them served fairly full if you ask effectively! Otherwise the area fridge is large enough to take a few bottles brought with you or bought at the supermarket.

Despite the Tepee club being fairly close I rather prefer to take a seat on my room balcony with a glass or two while Judith enjoys one when drying her locks ready to go out so I used this service. The Tepee personnel do sometimes circuit the pool taking beverages orders but many folk just wandered up to the pub in the beachwear (with t-shirt or wrap) and got their own as it was clearly quicker and the drinks colder.

At least once a day they come round with snow lollies which really is a nice idea. Sea Grape is by the largest and it is here that most people eat far. It’s the only place that acts breakfast and it plays sponsor to the larger events i also.e. barbecue nights etc. It is located in a central position alongside the solid wood boardwalk that spans across to the Tepee club. The entry part consists of s lounging area and club with a small toilet next to it that must serve guests, Tepee users and pool folk which is not so good in that well thought out holiday resort.

The lounge also serves as the afternoon tea area where they offer tea/coffee and runs of sandwiches, scones, cakes and fruit to those which have space for them. Civilised really and particularly suits the old Brits… Quite.like me? Like every open up sided food fascility in the Caribbean you get wild birds traveling in and out but there is little to be done about this, and besides, people like me like them!

The restaurant reaches the other end with a reception table at the admittance and lots of tables and chairs. It is always worth requesting a table as close to the boardwalk as is possible as mostly these are cooler with a sea air flow. Immediately prior to the desk can be an area comprising buffet and other ‘help yourself’ options. It is always worth pausing to check it out if you are in any kind of hurry particularly.
